8 Best Yoga Studios in Uluwatu Bali (2026 Guide)

The best yoga studios in Uluwatu surprised me when I first moved here. I expected a handful of rooftop shalas aimed at tourists what I found was a full community of serious practitioners, aerial studios, and wellness centers with ice baths and saunas that rival what you’d find in Seminyak at half the price. I’ve been living in Uluwatu for over a year and have practiced at every studio on this list. Here’s what’s actually worth your time.

Before choosing which yoga class to take in Uluwatu, read our guide about everything you need to know before you go to Bali. We put in a lot of trip information, like how to get around Bali, how to buy a SIM card, and other essential things to know about Bali.

Here are a few more things to keep in mind if you want to go to a yoga studio in Uluwatu:

  • Arrive 30 to 45 minutes before your class so you can arrange payment or sign-up process without rushing to your desired class. Most yoga studios in Uluwatu accept drop-in students unless there’s a particular workshop or big community event for which you must buy passes ahead of time to secure a spot.
  • The majority of yoga studios in Uluwatu accepts cash or card for payment.
  • You can order a GoRide (also called a scooter) through the GoJek or Grab app if you don’t have your scooter. When your driver comes, hop on the back, and he or she will take you to the yoga studio in Ubud of your choice. Your driver will also provide you with a helmet.

🧘Alchemy Yoga and Meditation Center: best yoga classes Uluwatu

Alchemy Uluwatu : Best Yoga Studios in Uluwatu Bali

Alchemy is the best place for yoga in Uluwatu, especially if you want something that blends strong classes with a real community feel. The Uluwatu location is smaller than the flagship studio in Ubud, but that actually makes it feel more personal once you settle in. The class variety stays solid too. I’ve found the Water and Earth classes feel approachable if you’re easing in, while Krama and Fire classes tend to challenge you more if you already have some experience.

What really sets Alchemy apart is how easy it is to turn a single class into a full morning. The ice bath and sauna give you space to recover, and the on-site cafe makes it simple to stay for breakfast instead of rushing off somewhere else. I also like that class passes work across both the Uluwatu and Ubud locations, which comes in handy if your trip includes time in both areas and you want consistency in your routine. They also have schedule of sound bath, beath work and ecstatic dance weekly.

🧘Yoga at Istana

yoga uluwatu

The Aylan Yoga School at The Istana is for you if you want to be pampered from head to toe and feel like royalty while moving carefully through yoga classes. The word “Istana” in Indonesian means “castle,” so it shouldn’t surprise you’ll be treated like a king while you’re here.

With daily yoga classes on the Uluwatu cliffs facing the ocean. You flow through the school’s signature Istana Vinyasa classes, Jivamukti Yoga with music, or Tantric-Hatha classes.

Also, if you’re interested in a spa day or modern biohacking, you shouldn’t miss visiting this place. They also have Cryotherapy services – a treatment method that involves the use of extremely cold temperatures to treat various conditions.

The core principle behind cryotherapy is that the cold temperatures can help reduce inflammation, alleviate pain, improve recovery time from sports injuries, and even enhance overall wellbeing.

In whole-body cryotherapy, individuals enter a chamber where temperatures can drop to below -100 degrees Celsius (-148 degrees Fahrenheit) for a short period, typically between two to four minutes.

This exposure to extreme cold is believed to stimulate the body’s natural healing processes, leading to various health benefits.

🧘Mantra Wellness Bali

Best Yoga Studios in Uluwatu Bali

📍  Address: Jl. Umpang Sari Padang Padang, Pecatu

📸  Instagram: @mantrawellness.bali🗓

Schedule: Book via ClassPass

Mantra Wellness is the most complete wellness setup I’ve come across in Uluwatu. It’s not just yoga; the daily schedule includes both yoga and Pilates classes, which means you can mix movement styles without managing multiple studios or apps. The recovery facilities are very affordable compared to those in other parts of Uluwatu. You can try their sauna, cold plunge, pool, and co-working area after your yoga class.

The shala itself is open-air in a garden setting, and the whole property is very close to Padang Padang Beach and quieter than the Bingin side, and easier to get to.

Classes are bookable through ClassPass. If you’re a new ClassPass member, you get free intro credits on sign-up, which covers a class here without any upfront cost. It’s a good way to try both the yoga and Pilates offerings before buying a pass.

One thing to know going in: there is ongoing construction near the facility, so the yoga classes are less zen than usual because of the noise.

🧘The Space Bali

Best Yoga Studios in Uluwatu

The Space Bali is right in the middle of the Bingin social scene. Two bamboo shalas run classes from sunrise through the evening, mobility, surf conditioning, vinyasa, yin and there’s a co-working space and garden cafe downstairs. It’s easy to spend a full morning here: class, then work, then food, all without leaving the property.

One honest note, I rarely visit this studio because there is active construction around the Bingin area and the shala right across the road, so it’s genuinely hard to hear the teacher. Bingin has been building fast. I’d check their Instagram before going to see whether conditions have improved.

Final Thoughts on the Best Yoga Studios in Uluwatu

The best yoga studios in Uluwatu genuinely cover different needs which is why I don’t have a single recommendation for everyone. For community and class variety, Alchemy is my anchor. For a quieter, more focused session with serious clifftop views, I go to The Istana. When I want to mix yoga and Pilates without switching venues, Mantra Wellness handles both. If you’re only here for a few days and want something simple, Morning Light’s no-booking 7:30 AM class is hard to beat.

Visit their socials or studio’s website and schedule the most up-to-date class offers and timing information. Enjoy your yoga practice in Uluwatu!
