Ubud Bali

Ubud is located an hour from the airport and is surrounded by rice terraces and jungle, making it feel like a completely different island from the beach towns in the south. The town is easily walkable; you can reach Ubud Palace and the central market, with restaurants, galleries, and yoga studios spreading out from there.

I lived here for over a year and completed my yoga teacher training in Ubud,  and the wellness scene has the most diverse offerings on the island. Yoga Barn alone runs over 100 classes a week, and the Pilates studios, sound healing centers, and Ayurvedic spas that have opened in recent years have made it one of Southeast Asia’s most developed wellness destinations.
