Best Pilates Studios in Uluwatu Bali (2026 Guide)

I spent over a year living in Uluwatu, and Pilates became a regular part of my week. I’ve been to all seven studios on this list, some of them many times, so everything here comes from real experience.

The Uluwatu Pilates scene has grown fast. A few years ago, your options were basically yoga and surf conditioning. Now there are dedicated reformer studios, hot Pilates, barre, ocean-view spaces, and full wellness hubs all within a 10-minute scooter ride of Bingin or Padang Padang.

Drop-in classes run IDR 200,000–300,000 per session (roughly $12–$18 USD at 16,900 IDR to $1). Reformer sessions sit at the higher end; mat and hot Pilates cost less. Multi-class packs drop the per-session price noticeably if you’re staying a few weeks.

Here’s what I actually thought of each one.

Best Pilates Studios in Uluwatu Bali (2026 Guide)

Reform Pilates Uluwatu — Best Reformer Studio Overall

Reform was the first dedicated reformer studio in Bingin, and it’s still the one I send most people to. I’ve done the Booty & Core, Body Blast, and Alignment classes here, and all three are well-structured, and the instructors actually watch your form instead of just counting reps.

I really love the small group format, which means you get real feedback, which matters a lot if you’re new to reformer work. I brought a friend who had never done reformer Pilates before; the instructor adjusted her setup and gave her cues throughout the entire class.

A few things to know before you go: grip socks are mandatory (buy them at the studio for IDR 50,000 or $3 USD if you don’t have a pair), and they enforce a strict 12-hour cancellation policy. No-show means you lose the class from your pack.

Reform Membership: Reform Pilates has two locations in Bali. One in Bingin and one in Balangan, which is Reform Plus. Don’t worry, membership covers both branches, which is worth knowing if you’re splitting time between areas. Ask the studio for current pricing.

Studio Fondue — Best for Intermediate Practitioners

Studio Fondue is the most premium studio I tried in Uluwatu. The space feels properly designed with proper spacing, good lighting, and a small boutique near the entrance selling activewear and wellness products. It doesn’t feel like a converted surf shack, which, honestly, a lot of studios around here do.

I really enjoyed the classes here in Fondue. The instructor broke down each movement before loading the springs, which I appreciated, and plenty of reformer classes just assume you know what you’re doing. The mat and barre options are good for mixing things up if you’re staying a few weeks. And sometimes they have community challenges, which make the reformer extra fun.

They also offer massage and manual therapy on-site. If you’re dealing with soreness from surfing or hiking, you can pair a Pilates session with a treatment on the same visit. Monthly unlimited memberships are worth it for stays of two weeks or more.

Mantra Wellness — Best for a Full Wellness Day

Mantra is the one I take visiting friends to, especially if they want more than just a workout. The property has a yoga shala, sauna, cold plunge, outdoor pool, co-working space, and a café. You can build an entire day here without getting back on your scooter.

I’ve done a reformer class in the morning, used the sauna and cold plunge afterward, and worked from the co-working space for a few hours over lunch. It’s genuinely set up well for that kind of flow. The instructors give consistent modifications; I’ve been in classes with complete beginners and experienced movers at the same time, and everyone got appropriate cues.

BGB TIP: This studio is located on a narrow inside road near Padang Padang, so if you are not confident driving a scooter on your own, it is best to just book a driver via Grab or Gojek. The property offers a free buggy to the main road, but only for their hotel guests, which helps if you plan to stay with them.

360Move — Best Hot Pilates

I went to 360Move expecting a solid gym class and left having sweated more than I do surfing. The hot Pilates room is genuinely hot — not “slightly warm” like some studios claim. Your muscles loosen up faster than usual, which lets you go deeper into positions, but you will need water and a towel.

Instructor Raquel runs the class well. She explains each movement before you do it, pushes you at the right moments, and keeps the pace consistent throughout. All equipment — mat, bands, blocks — is provided. The full facility at 360Move includes two levels of gym equipment, a boxing zone, spin studio, and a café bar, so if you’re using it as your main fitness base for a week, it covers everything.

Drop-ins are always welcome here. No need to book days in advance the way you do at the smaller reformer studios.

Bambu Pilates — Best for Form and Technique

Bambu Pilates sits inside the Bambu Fitness complex on Jl. Pantai Bingin one of the bigger gym facilities in Uluwatu at around 13,000 sq ft. The Pilates studio is a separate, quieter space from the main gym floor, which matters if you find the gym energy distracting during a Pilates class.

What stood out to me here was the instruction quality. The instructor I had was specific — not just “engage your core” vague, but actually explaining which part of the core, why, and what you should feel. If you’ve been doing Pilates for a while and want to refine your technique, or if you’re coming back from an injury and need careful attention, this is the studio for that.

Morning classes fill up fast, especially in high season (July–August, December–January). I’d book at least the day before, ideally two days ahead.

Bluvana — Best Intimate Studio Experience

Bluvana only has six reformers. That’s not a lot, and it’s the whole point. Classes are small, the instructor is right there, and the space itself is genuinely well thought out, clean, calm, minimal. It’s the kind of studio where you actually feel like a person instead of mat number four.

They run eight signature 50-minute reformer formats, each targeting a specific zone or energy level. The variety is good for a week-long stay; you can mix formats instead of repeating the same class.

AMI Studio — Best Views and Barre Variety

AMI sits above the Padang Padang Beach, and the views are the first thing you notice. The studio is designed around natural light and open space, and on a clear morning you can see the water from inside. I swear this is worth a visit, just a few steps from Padang Padang Beach, which you can go to after the class.

The class menu covers more ground than most studios in Uluwatu: reformer, mat Pilates, and barre. If you’re traveling with someone who wants barre while you do reformer, this is the easiest place to do that.

What to Know Before You Visit Pilates Studios in Uluwatu

A few things apply across pretty much every studio here, regardless of which one you pick. Worth knowing before you show up.

Grip socks are mandatory at all reformer studios and you can buy them at the studio for IDR 50,000–100,000IDR (~$3–5) if you don’t have a pair. Majority of the 7:00–9:00 AM slots fill fastest, so book at least a day ahead at Reform, Bambu, and Bluvana, especially in July–August and December–January.

Most studios run a 12-hour cancellation window, and if you cancel late or are a no-show, you lose that class from your pack. If it’s your first time visiting the studio, please arrive 5–10 minutes early so the instructor can note any injuries. Getting between studios is easiest on a scooter; Grab and Gojek can struggle with the narrow Bingin lanes, so walk to the main road for pickup. If you’re staying for two weeks or more, multi-class packs cut the per-session cost significantly so do the math before you buy drop-ins.

My Recommendation for Pilates Studios in Uluwatu

Start with Reform Pilates, when I was starting out consistent, beginner-friendly, and the most reliable schedule in the area. If you’re a ClassPass member or want to try it with free credits, it’s the obvious first pick.

If you want more than just a workout, go to Mantra for a full day: class, sauna, cold plunge, and lunch at the café. Also bookable on ClassPass.

Once you’ve got a feel for the reformer, Studio Fondue is worth a session for the quality of the space and the Spicy Reformer class.

360Move is where I go when I want to sweat hard and not think too much with the machince adjustments, and if I want a beach day, I prefer going to AMI since its nearby Thomas Beach or Padang Padang.
