The Best Pilates Studios in Canggu Bali (2026 Guide)

The best Pilates studios in Canggu have grown faster than almost anything else in the area. I’ve found nine solid options within a four-mile stretch, and most focus on reformer Pilates. Many have also opened within the last three years.

I live in Bali full-time and previously lived near Batu Bolong before moving to Uluwatu. During that time, I watched Canggu’s Pilates scene grow from just two studios into one of Bali’s busiest fitness hubs.

Drop-in classes usually cost IDR 200,000 to 350,000 per session, or around $12 to $21 USD. Reformer Pilates sits at the higher end, while mat classes are usually more affordable. If I’m staying in Canggu for more than a week, I normally look for a multi-class package to lower the cost per session.

In this guide, I compare what each Pilates studio in Canggu offers, where it’s located, and who it suits best. This should help you choose the right class without scrolling through nine different Instagram accounts.

Reformer Pilates in Canggu: What to Know Before You Book

A few practical tips apply to almost every Pilates studio in Canggu, no matter which one you choose.

I always bring grip socks because they’re required for reformer Pilates classes. If you forget yours, most studios sell them for around IDR 50,000 to 100,000 ($3 to $6), while a few also offer rentals.

Morning classes between 7:00 and 9:00 AM fill up the fastest. From my experience, demand can be higher in Canggu than in Uluwatu, especially at popular studios. I recommend booking Luna & Sol and Native at least one day ahead. During July, August, December, and January, I’d book two days in advance.

Class sizes also vary more than I expected. Lilates has only four reformers, while some KOR classes have run with just two people. The Pilates Project, however, has received repeated complaints about crowded group classes. If I want more personal attention, I look at the class size before comparing prices.

Traffic is another important factor. Getting from Canggu to Pererenan can take around 10 minutes at 7:00 AM but closer to 35 minutes at 5:00 PM. I’ve learned to book a studio near where I’m staying, not simply the one with the best Instagram feed.

Finally, most studios have a 12-hour cancellation policy. If you cancel late or don’t show up, you’ll usually lose that class from your package.

BGB TIP: Canggu’s Pilates studios fall into three main areas: Berawa and Nelayan, central Canggu and Batu Bolong, and Pererenan. Choose a studio close to your accommodation, and you could save up to 40 minutes of scooter time each day. I learned quickly that staying in Pererenan and booking a class near Batu Belig is the kind of traffic mistake you only make once.

🌸 REVIVE and PILATES Canggu — Best for a Café-and-Reformer Morning

Best Pilates Studios in Canggu Bali

📍 Address: Jl. Tanah Barak No.5B, 2nd Floor, Canggu 📸 Instagram: @reviveandpilates.studio

Revive + Pilates Canggu sits on the second floor above its own café on Jl. Tanah Barak. I love that you can finish a reformer class and have a matcha in hand within 30 seconds. That easy Pilates-and-café setup is one of the studio’s biggest draws.

The class schedule includes both reformer Pilates and barre, and classes also work well for mixed experience levels. If you’re traveling with a friend who has a different Pilates level, you can still take a class together without either person feeling left behind.

Grip socks are required, but you can buy a pair at the studio. I also like Revive’s central Canggu location because you’re surrounded by cafés, restaurants, and massage spots. It’s easy to plan a full morning here instead of making the class a separate trip.

🌸 Native Bali Pilates — Best for Teaching Quality

Best Pilates Studios in Canggu Bali

📍 Address: Jl. Nelayan, Canggu, Kec. Kuta Utara 📸 Instagram: @nativebalipilates

Native Pilates Canggu is located on Jalan Nelayan, just a few minutes from Canggu Beach. I like its peaceful garden setting once you’re inside the stu, which feels calm and removed from the traffic outside. However, the studio’s targeted class style is what really makes it stand out.

Instead of following the same full-body routine in every session, you can choose classes focused on specific goals such as glutes, core, or full-body strength. This makes it easier to find a workout that matches what you want to improve.

Class sizes also stay small, and some sessions have only a few students. I find this helpful because you’re more likely to receive personal guidance and regular form corrections throughout the class. It’s a good option if you’re new to reformer Pilates or want more attention from the instructor.

Native is open from 7:30 AM to 7:00 PM on weekdays and 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM on weekends. It’s one of the few Pilates studios in Canggu offering afternoon classes on weekends, so you don’t have to wake up early to fit in a workout.

🌸 KOR Pilates Bali — Best for Beginners

Best Pilates Studios in Canggu Bali

📍 Address: Gg. Pisang, Jl. Karang Suwung, Tibubeneng 📸 Instagram: @kor.bali

KOR Pilates Canggu keeps its classes genuinely small, giving the instructor enough time to adjust the intensity for beginners. I like this setup because you get personal guidance without paying for a private class.

If you’ve never used a reformer before, KOR is a perfect  place to start. You won’t feel pressured to keep up while trying to find the footbar or understand the spring settings. Instead, you’ll have time to learn the equipment, ask questions, and build confidence at your own pace.

Weekend hours are shorter, with classes from 8:00 AM to 11:00 AM on Saturday and 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM on Sunday. I’d check the latest timetable before planning your day, especially if you want a weekend class.

🌸 Bali Pilates Plus — Best for One-on-One Work

Best Pilates Studios in Canggu Bali

📍 Address: Batu Belig Square, Level 1, Jl. Batu Belig, Kerobokan 📸 Instagram: @balipilatesplus

Bali Pilates Plus is located inside Batu Belig Square, technically on the Kerobokan side of Canggu. It’s around a 10-minute ride from Berawa, and I think the short trip is worthwhile if you want more personal attention.

The studio’s private one-to-one Pilates sessions is one of the most affordable in Canggu and If you’re completely new to reformer Pilates, you should try their Beginner Pilates Foundation class that gives you a proper introduction. You’ll learn how to use the equipment, understand the basic movements, and build confidence before joining a regular group class.

Group sessions also stay small enough for instructors to watch your form and give individual corrections. So if technique matters more to you than following the latest studio trend, Bali Pilates Plus is worth the short ride from Canggu.

🌸 The Pilates Project Bali — Best Schedule in Pererenan

Best Pilates Studios in Canggu Bali

📍 Address: Jl. Munduk Tengah, Pererenan, Kec. Mengwi 📸 Instagram: @wearetpp

The Pilates Project Pererenan has one of the widest schedules on this list. I like that you can book an early morning workout or even join a Sunday afternoon class when many other studios are closed.

You’ll find convenient on-site parking, a ground-floor reception area, and a spacious reformer room which looks modern with high-quality reformer machines.

Classes are mostly always in larger groups, which creates a more social and energetic atmosphere. If you enjoy working out alongside other people and staying motivated by the room’s energy, you’ll probably feel comfortable here. For more individual guidance, I’d choose a quieter class time or consider a smaller studio such as KOR or Lilates.

Overall, The Pilates Project is a great choice when flexibility schedule matters most, it’s one of the most convenient Pilates studios near Canggu.

🌸 Lilates Canggu — Best Small-Group Reformer

Best Pilates Studios in Canggu Bali

📍 Address: Gg. Berkat No.28, Kerobokan Kaja, Kec. Kuta Utara 📸 Instagram: @lilatesofficial

Lilates Pilates takes a physiotherapy-based approach, with only four reformers in each class. It’s the smallest class size on this list, giving instructors more time to focus on your posture, injuries, and individual movement needs. I’d choose Lilates if you value careful form and personal guidance over a busy, high-energy workout.

That personal approach fits the studio’s peaceful setting. Classes take place inside a traditional Joglo overlooking the rice fields, so you can train away from Canggu’s noise and traffic.

There’s one thing to keep in mind before booking. If only one person signs up, the studio may cancel the class. Early morning sessions can therefore be less reliable during Bali’s low season, so I’d confirm the schedule beforehand.

Lilates has several locations across Bali, including Pererenan and Renon. When booking online, check the studio address carefully before confirming your class.

🌸 Luna & Sol — Best All-Round Studio in Berawa

Best Pilates Studios in Canggu Bali

Luna & Sol Pilates is located on Jalan Raya Semat in Berawa, within walking distance of many cafés, villas, and hotels. I like that the studio offers both reformer Pilates and yoga, especially if you’re traveling with someone who prefers a different style of workout.

For a stronger session, try the Morning Powerhouse Reformer class. If you prefer slower movements with more control, Slow Burn Flow may suit you better. The drop in first-timer trial also offers good value, while the complimentary cold towel after class feels especially refreshing after training in Bali’s heat.

Luna & Sol is open from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM on weekdays and 7:00 AM to 1:00 PM on weekends. The evening weekday classes are a convenient option if you want to spend the day at the beach or finish your remote work before exercising. Since morning classes are popular, I’d book ahead rather than wait until the same day.

🌸 Your Daily Bali — Best ClassPass Value

📍 Address: Jl. Nelayan No.32, Canggu, Kec. Kuta Utara 📸 Instagram: @yourdaily_bali

I haven’t visited Your Daily Pilates on Jl. Nelayan yet, but its ClassPass credit cost is reasonable compared with many other Pilates studios in Canggu. It’s worth considering if you already use the app and want to keep your workout costs lower.

Classes also tend to stay small, with around five people in an 11:00 AM session being common. This gives you more space to move and a better chance of receiving personal guidance from the instructor.

You’ll also find useful extras such as lockers, drinking water, and a cold towel after class. These small touches make the experience more comfortable in Bali’s heat. Since the teaching style can vary between instructors, I’d try one drop-in class before buying a larger package.

Pilates in Canggu: FAQ

How much does Pilates cost in Canggu?

A drop-in reformer class usually costs IDR 200,000 to 350,000 ($12 to $21 USD), while mat Pilates is generally cheaper. Many studios share their latest prices through WhatsApp rather than listing them online. If you plan to attend several classes, a multi-class package can reduce the cost per session by around 20% to 30%

Do I need to book Pilates classes in advance in Canggu?

Yes, especially if you want a morning class. Sessions between 7:00 and 9:00 AM at Luna & Sol, Native, and Lilates often fill at least one day ahead. During July, August, December, and January, I’d book two days in advance, while afternoon classes are usually easier to secure.

Do Canggu Pilates studios take ClassPass?

I’d choose KOR Pilates for its very small classes and beginner-friendly intensity adjustments. Bali Pilates Plus is another strong option because it offers a dedicated Beginner Pilates Foundation class. Both give you more individual corrections than you’d normally receive in a larger group session.

Which Canggu Pilates studio is best for beginners?

KOR Pilates for the smallest classes and beginner-specific intensity adjustments, or Bali Pilates Plus for its dedicated Beginner Pilates Foundation class. Both give individual corrections rather than group cues.

Do I need grip socks for reformer Pilates in Canggu?

Yes, grip socks are required at reformer studios in Canggu for safety and hygiene. Most studios sell them for around IDR 50,000 to 100,000 ($3 to $6), while a few offer rentals. Bring your own pair if you already have one.

Can I do Pilates in Canggu while pregnant?

It depends on the studio, your stage of pregnancy, and your instructor’s training. Some studios don’t accept pregnant clients in group reformer classes, and Lilates currently declines pregnancy bookings for safety reasons. Contact the studio before booking and ask whether a private, prenatal-friendly session is available.

My Recommendation for Best Reformer Pilates Studios in Canggu

Best Pilates Studios in Canggu Bali

Start with Luna & Sol if you’re new to Canggu and want a reliable all-round option. Its Berawa location is close to cafés, villas, and hotels, while the affordable trial rate lets you test the studio before buying a package. With both reformer Pilates and yoga available, it also works well if you’re traveling with someone who prefers a different workout.

Book Lilates if you prefer class size the most. Each session has only four reformers, giving instructors more time to check your posture and adjust movements around injuries. Its physiotherapy-led approach makes it a strong choice if you want careful, personal guidance. If you haven’t used your ClassPass trial yet, this is a smart place to spend those introductory credits.

Choose Native for a balance of teaching quality and small-group attention. Classes are intimate enough for personal corrections without feeling like a private session. Reviews frequently mention instructors and their guidance, which tells me the teaching is the main reason people return.

KOR is the best starting point for complete beginners. Two-person classes aren’t unusual, so you’ll have time to learn the reformer, understand the spring settings, and ask questions. Instructors can also adjust the intensity for first-timers instead of expecting everyone to follow the same workout.

If you’re staying in Pererenan, The Pilates Project is the practical choice. Its long opening hours make it easier to find a class that fits around work, beach plans, or day trips. Classes can be larger, but the spacious studio and flexible schedule make up for the more social group setting.

For one-to-one coaching or a proper introduction to Pilates, I’d make the extra 10-minute scooter ride to Bali Pilates Plus in Batu Belig. Its private sessions and Beginner Pilates Foundation class give you space to improve your form and build confidence before moving into regular group classes.
